BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S (MOVIE REVIEW)
BY: NAUFAL UBAIDILLAH
Successfully replacing “Yes Man” as my
number one favorite ever, Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a must-watch movie. You
must watch it at least once in your lifetime.
Its main theme is the incredibly thin
margin between being real and being artificial. The main woman, Holly
Golightly, is actually a village girl who was discovered by someone downtown.
So, she moves to New York City. She changed her identities and left her husband
and family. There, she befriends the eccentric writer guy who lives upstairs in
her apartment.
The two grow to become lovers, even
though Holly does not admit it until the very end. She was going to marry the
‘safe’ Brazilian guy, but then her cat, her bestfriend, gave her a ‘silent’
message that true love does exist.
I will not tell you the rest of the
story. Because you must see it for yourself, and watch yourself completely
changed from top to bottom.
